Gunsmiths have been customizing John Moses Browning’s 1911 for many years. Swenson, Hoag, and Kings Gun Works, to name a few, are what many consider to be the pioneers of the trade. Through the years since Armand Swenson developed the first ambi-safety for the 1911, other gunsmiths have aspired to perfect this craft. A custom 1911 built and tuned for function, accuracy, reliability, and appearance increases satisfaction and value.
