FFL Transfer Policy

Requirements and procedures for Virginia residents using Kind Sniper as their 

FFL transfer dealer.

Transfer Request Requirements

If you are a Virginia resident and would like Kind Sniper to handle your FFL transfer transaction, you must submit a request and obtain our written approval before designating us as your transfer FFL.

To request approval, email sales@kindsniper.com with the following information:

  • Your full name and contact information
  • Description of the firearm(s) being transferred
  • Name and contact information of the sending FFL or seller
  • Expected shipment date (if known)

Unapproved Transfers

If we receive an unexpected firearm for a transfer that was not pre-approved, and the transferee is not an established customer, we reserve the right to refuse the transfer or impose an inconvenience charge of $25 in addition to the regular transfer fee.

Established customers do not need to request prior approval; however, a courtesy notification of an upcoming transfer firearm shipment is appreciated and encouraged.

Standard Transfer Fee

NFA items and multiple firearms may incur additional fees.

FFL Verification

If we have approved a transfer transaction, we will share a copy of our FFL with the sender FFL (be sure to provide accurate name and contact information in the Transfer Request Form).

However, we will not send a copy of our FFL to a non-FFL party. Such parties can verify our FFL status through the ATF’s EZ Check system:

Appointment Requirements

Transfer transactions, including local transfers, are conducted by appointment only.

If we have approved your firearm to be shipped to us, we will contact you to set up an appointment once it has arrived and been properly logged in.

Firearms Without Prior Approval

Firearms received without our prior approval might be shipped back to sender.

Our Discretion

As an FFL, we have ultimate discretion and reserve the right to refuse any transfer, with or without explaining or justifying our decision.
